Would you tip your hair dresser if he or she was 20 minutes late for the appointment?

My hair dresser was 20 minutes late, and even though she did a good job and was friendly, I decided not to tip her. After I left I started to feel bad. Would you have tipped her?Would you tip your hair dresser if he or she was 20 minutes late for the appointment?
If she did a good job, I would tip her, but lower it for her tardiness.... maybe doing 5-10%. She will remember that you did not tip her at all the NEXT time you go to her for your hair. You may not have a happy hairdresser then! You may need to find a new hairdresser.

Have a polite day.Would you tip your hair dresser if he or she was 20 minutes late for the appointment?
You shouldn't feel bad! She should feel bad! Where I came from if the hairdresser it's late he apologize and doesn't charge you at all! It was very police from you to pay the bill! Next time if he will be on time and friendly I would tip him a bit more ( like 1 and a half of the normal tip) but he has to repair for the damage before the receive half the tip of the time he was late.
This person holds a very sharp pair of implements close to your head. If u want to go back there i sugest u tip.

Remember , everyone has things going on in there life. That day something may have happened that she does not want you to know about. Like her disabled son was having trouble and she had to sort it out.

Something like that.

So dont be quick to judge on why a person is late, it could have been a very good reason. Furthermore, women haircuts /colours take along time anyway. If u are going to complain about her being twenty mintues late when your hair being done takes an hour and a half. Then your complaining for no reason. Purely because u have to allow along time to get the job done anyway.

People are late for a reason, sometimes its serious but there is no need for them to explain that reason to you.
Its a courtesy not a requirement. If you felt strongly about it then Dont. Be sure to Give your reasoning and make your point. Its Reasonable to be Displeased with such a situation and a tip by Meaning is -an addition- to what was owed. Be prepared for an uncomfortable situation next time though LOL ;]
Since she's not your regular, and you probably won't go back, he deserved to be stiffed. Holding you up 20 minutes without having given you are really good reason, is reason enough not to tip. She makes a good salary anyway, not like food servers.
i would of tipped maybe something happened in her personal life like her babysitter was late or she had a appointment that ran over with her dr or something
I don't know where you live, but 20 minutes late is very fashionable where I'm from.
If she was my regular stylist, I would, but otherwise, NO! How rude!
I would probably have tipped her less.
