How can I dump my hair dresser?

My hair dresser is one of my friends and I will feel extremely bad not going back to her but she isnt doing a very good job anymore....ive been going to her for the last yr %26amp; 1/2 but she doesnt get close enough to the root and its all uneven and I pay her really good $$ and I just feel like im not getting my $$ worth anymore and would if I went somewhere else....what should I do?How can I dump my hair dresser?

OK girl.. if this is the most important decision you will face this year your doing good! LOL IDK you cant ever argue or get mad if you lose fair and square on a job due to money or job performance. I personally would explain to friend that you went some where else because you where in a financial bind, or just wanted to save money! than tell her the next time, that you where happy with the CHEAPER hair cut so .........

Try talking to her,after that if it still doesn't work out then tell her you want to try something completely different and you want to go somewhere else!
You could go a round about way of telling her... Goes something like: ';I hate it when i go to a salon to get my hair dyed and they never get down to the roots... And I pay good money for that too!';
Tell her that you appreciate what she does but you would like to get someone else to take a 'fresh look' at your hair - someone who doesn't know you because they will see you from a different perspective. Don't tell her you don't like what she does, be tactful but say that you fancy a change.


She will probably be a bit 'miffed' but she'll get over it.
If she's your friend, she'll understand.


But if you really don't want to hurt her feelings, ask if she can do a better job.





I know what you mean, one of my friend's moms cut my hair and she did a really bad job. Thank her frequently and tell the truth! It'll work out fine in the end! (:
