How much money does an average hair dresser make?

Becoming a hair dresser is on my list of a future profession. I was just curious how much an average hair dresser makes.

Ha ha, well not much to start out with, and it is a lot of work. But after a few (3-7) years (depending on where you live) you can go to booth rental and start making real money. It is very dependent on what part of the country you live in. Around here they start somewhere around 13,000 or 14,000 a year. Not much, I know, but it goes up double, triple... when you get your clientele built up, it just takes time.How much money does an average hair dresser make?
well if u start ur own buisness you can make a lot more money then if u work for someone. if u just take out the rent and all the supplies needed than that will leave you with a pretty good sized chunk hope i could help!
not that much. My friend was a hair dresser in a very fine salon that charged 60 bucks for a hair cut and all she got was 8 bucks.
