How do i describe to a hair dresser that i would like scene hair?

I have thin naturally straight hair and every time i ask for short choppy layers and side swept bangs they dont get it right, i even tried bringing in a picture. Is there anyother way to describe what i would like? How do i describe to a hair dresser that i would like scene hair?
the best is a picture but you have to be realize they may or may not be able to duplicate this depending on your hair

I would bring them pics of david bowie but somehow i never came out looking like him ;)How do i describe to a hair dresser that i would like scene hair?
The best thing to do is get a picture of the closest match of what you are looking for and if you want any changes just ask your hair dresser in detail. It's good to be precise, you know?

The picture should look clear enough and if you doubt your hair dresser try looking for a new one. Possibly one that is known for layers.. ask friends?

Hope everything goes well! :D
well see, most of the time, that type of hair you can't just ';cut'; into. they can cut it, but you have to ';style'; it with gel and hairspray or w/e.
Well the picture is the last resort. Try going to another hair dresser.

Oh reminds me.. yeah scene hair needs to be styled with hair wax to get the 'sceneish' look.
You can show her pics of what u want thats what i would do
tell her you want a what would look like a squirrel if it got run over by a lawn mower
Ask them for a razor cut?
