Why don't hair dressers ever listen?

I asked for a trim and this girl chopped 4 inches off my hair! It was down to my a$$ and now its to the middle of my back. Why do hair dressers do what they want instead of what you asked for?Why don't hair dressers ever listen?
I was done the same way! I had been growing out my hair and this stylist said that she'd trim my ends at no cost, it'd be part of the service and she cut off INCHES... and then remarked ';You still have a lot of hair'; then she flat ironed it on the highest setting and remarked to someone ';Look at it just taking all of this heat!'; and the other woman remarked ';If that was my hair it'd be on the ground by now'; and the stylist was like ';Mine too!'; ... last time I went to that woman.

The reason why they don't listen is because they think that just because they went to school to learn about hair care they know more than their clients.

Exactly: they do what they want and hardly seem to care about what their client asks for.Why don't hair dressers ever listen?
Ive learned over the years that you have to look them in the eyes like a kid

and the them a few times and even ask them before they cut if they heard you

then find a hairdresser that you say what you want and she knows you and gives you that.
holy s**t!! that's crazy. maybe the last 4 inches were really damaged and they just cut them off but yeah, that's really ignorant. wow. you should b*tch them out.

LMAO at 4th comment!! nick carter............haha. i used to be married to him...well in my world i was.
seeing how you and the hairdresser do NOT have the same brain. what YOU say is interpreted by them by how THEY see fit. They trained for years, so they ';believe'; they are doing what you asked them to...
I had the same problem,i had a bob and asked for a trim and she made me look like nick carter from the backstreet boys. I looked like a boy,i had curtains!
Uhh none that I have had have ever done that, and if they did I would complain up the yin-yang.

That's probably your sign that you need to find a new hairdresser ASAP!
