Hair straightening at hair dressers?

ok right my hair is pure afro (half black) and goes up completly normally. but i can actually get it to be perfectly thin and straight with hair straightners.(with mums help of course :P ) well if i go to a normal hair dresser with my hair straight will they be able to chemically straighten my hair? and by normal hairdressers i mean a white hairdressers.

they dont do black afro hair but if its straight do you think they will chemically straighten it for me?Hair straightening at hair dressers?
Yes they will.

But please be careful. I wanted my hair chemically straightened, but the truth is, it damages your hair so much! If you鈥檙e 30+ then you might want to get it, but anything younger is a no-no! It will terribly damage your hair, so I suggest to not do that unless you鈥檙e 30 or older. And also, it doesn't last very long. It only lasts for 6 months I think. And it costs a lot! Like $350 a lot! So be careful!

Hope this helped. Good luckk! :)Hair straightening at hair dressers?
hmmmm...@ word normal...anyway...Any GOOD hair dresser can work with ANY texture hair. Even if they do not work with it everyday they should know how to do a chemical process to graduate from their program. If not get out of there and go somewhere else.

FYI: You do not have to and should not straighten your hair before a relaxer is put in. Try not to scratch or pull heavily on your hair the day that you decide to get the process done. There is a chemical straightening process available (not only black people do this btw) but 2 words of caution. 1. you risk the chance of the ';normal'; shop not knowing how to work with your hair texture after relaxer (relaxed hair needs lots of moisture and oil (nourishment) and no they are not the same thing) and 2. More than likely it will cost a lot more at a ';normal' shop (think US$300 vs US$50).

If possible I suggest going to a shop that knows (works with on a daily basis) your hair texture.

Also look into longhaircareforum.com They can answer a lot of questions for you on your hair texture since it seems that you may not have much guidence or too many outlets for information on your hair type.

If you would like to straighten without chemicals (which i suggest) look at the directions I linked below for a ';silk wrap';.
well at the white hair dressers they wouldnt have the right chemicals for ur type of hair it wouldnet be a strong enough formula , and so my suggestion should be go to a meaxican hair dresser or black hair dresser ,i had to do the same thing i had to do it twice cuz the formuela wasnt strong enuff
Theres no such thing as chemically straightening your hair but you can ask them for a perm. Then they will straighten your hair and will the proper care-taking it will stay straight for 1-2 months
well, yes. but chemically straightened hair doesn't last forever. It lasts a good piece of time but not your whole life. It will go away eventually.
well my mum she went to the hair dressers and they put this conditioner mixed with something that keeps your hair straight for 6 months or you can have it permanetly done for good!
most definetly if your hair is straight

they can do it chemically!

goood luck
