Can brown hair be dyed blond at the hair dresser's?

my natural hair color is blond but at the moment it is a darkish chocolate brown colour. If I went to a hairdresser's, would they be able to dye it blond permanantly? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question. Thank you in advance! Can brown hair be dyed blond at the hair dresser's?
They can dye it blond but it could get expensive to have your whole head done, you may be better off getting a blond T section which is where they streak the top part of your hair blond to give you a lighter effect but when it starts to grow out it wont look tacky.

Go to a very reputable hairdresser they will advise you in every way you need if they are good.

Yes they can, I have naturally brown hair and got it to bleached blonde. It was permanent and the colour never faded when washed. If you are having a strong colour like bleach on it I would advise you to leave your hair several days without being washed as greasy-ish hair will stop the dye stinging your scalp so much.
yes they use a bleach to take the colour away and then they use slightly different tones of blond to make it look more natural. But never do what I did when i was younger and let anybody other than a professional hairdresser do it because you might end up looking like tony the tiger like i did hope that helps.
Yes, a hairdresser can do it. It's much easier to lighten than it is to darken, because the dark color will fade. Peroxide is used to dye the hair blonde and that's permanent.
yes, defo. what they do is they bleach your hair (strip the colour) and then they will dye it.

good luck
