My hair dresser gave me too many layers & now it looks like boy cut any help ?

Can anyone suggest how to grow hair faster they look awful and i hate to style them everyday as they become puffy and looks as if i am wearing a wig. Or any suggestion how to settle them with any good gel or cream.
