How can I make my hair wavy??? (naturally not using hair dresser)?

I'm trying a whole bunch of different ways but its just not working right!!! My friends all have straight hair and it works on them, but mines not totally straight it sorta flips out at my shoulders sometimes. Does that make a difference??? Any ideas would be great!!! ThankssssHow can I make my hair wavy??? (naturally not using hair dresser)?
Wash your hair normally, and at the end of your shower, rinse your hair with cold water. Spritz your hair with spray in conditioner/detangler and brush your hair through and find your part (off center is very pretty and goes well with this look). Spray or rub in a curl booting product, not too much or your hair will get weighed down and greasy. Tousle your hair with your fingers, then sleep on it. In the morning, straighten about 1 inch of the ends of your hair, and straighten your bangs. Scrunch your hair, then add a bit of hair spray. If your hair is flat at the top, spray it with water, add a small amount of gel, scrunch it into a ball, then secure it with a jaw clip. Leave it for about 10 minutes then spray with hair spray and remove the clip.

If that dosen't work theres also this way

Use mousse. Get some curling mousse, separate the tangles, run the mousse through it, and shake your hair a bit.

Try to curl your hair with your fingers or plastic curlers. Then put gel or grease on it and curl it with your fingers or curlers again and then blow dry it with a diffuser. If you want use some gel to make your hair straight and a little bit wavy. wet your hair, put some gel on it or add water to grease and rub together. Don't comb your hair, just wait for it to dry.How can I make my hair wavy??? (naturally not using hair dresser)?
Try this.. wash and towel dry. put in some mousse. get some hair clips like the ones they use at the salon to part off -your hair. take about 4 to 6 of them and just pile your hair up on your head and clip it in place. Let it air dry. takes a few hours at most. let down and run your fingers through or a pic and go!
take a shower before going to bed. make sure it is still damp and put it in like twisty buns or messy buns [make sure there are enough of them to get all your hair] plus sleep with a towel over your pillow. when you wake up get all ready and before you leave take the buns out and either put a scrunching gel on it or take a light weight hair spray and lightly spray you hair[it depends on if your hair works better with gel or hair spray]
my daughter puts hers in a ponytail after she washes it then. puts it in a bun and a ponytail around that. THen sleeps in it and takes it out in the morning.
French braid your hair while it's wet, and if you have something like a gel to hold the style, use it. Ine the morning, take it down, and you'e got instant waves.

my sisters have straight hair and if they want wavy hair they will either braid it at night or in the morning they will dampen their hair and spray on a lot of hair spray then with a blow dryer crunch ur hair in you hands

I usually just french braid my wet hair before bed, then sleep on it.
you could braid it while its wet. dry it and then unbraid it. use a light holding spray
try braiding it when its half way dry... and letting it dry that way.. the braiding wont need product to stay wavy as long and you wont damage your hair by a curling iron...
um while ur hair is dry use garnier fructise curl mousse , and scrunch it works great
