Is straightening my hair at the hair dresser each week dangerous?

my hair is curly and i go to the hair dresser about each 6 days to straighten it with iron strightner, is that will damage my hairIs straightening my hair at the hair dresser each week dangerous?
Yep it will cause damage. Your hair will get burnt and straw like to the point where the damaged area has to be cut off. Try a perm instead. They can do a straight perm. It will still cause damage but since you won't be doing it as often the effects won't be as noticeable. Is straightening my hair at the hair dresser each week dangerous?
6 days shouldn't be that damaging ot your hair. Granted that straightening your hair dries out the natural oils in it, since you don't do it that often, your hair should be fine. Just use a little bit of heat protector, which they shoudl use for you at the salon, and a really nice iron, which your hairstyler should also have.

You could definately save a lot of money by buying a salon quality iron, and a heat protector spray. I'd recommend a solid cermaic iron, such as a Sedu, Solia, FHI, or Chi.
yes, it will .

all straighteners do when used that often, even at a salon .

i do hope they're using some sort of heat-protectant before hand for at least a little bit of protection from split ends, ect.

your hair must be VERY unhealthy.

maybe you 'ought to just get it chemically straightened less often ?

plus - why waste money going to a salon to get it done? buy your own straightener, and use GOOD products.

some salons use very cheap and poor products.
Lol. No. I straighten it 5 out of 7 days of the week for 5 years. Yeah my hair is damaged but with heat protector, it really helps breakage one day a week is not bad for you.
definitely dangerous

curly hair is very beautiful only it is difficult to maintain
