Is it possible to get this done at the hair dressers?

i want to get highlights. ive got brown hair right now, but i want natural looking ones, not highlights that are that noticible, but i just want some definition like this:

i dont want bright fake blonde or anything, just something natural, can they od that? also, i DONT want my hair cut. the ends arent very good but im growing it out, and dont say i need to cut it please but i was wondering, for it to get highlights, does it have to be cut? i dont want it to.

lastly, ive never bleached my hair, and i was wondering, will it damage my hair if ive never done it before? Is it possible to get this done at the hair dressers?
Ask for subtle highlights. They'll use a weaving method. It'll give your hair more then one color, but it won't look streaky or fake. Using any hair color on your hair will cause some damage, but the salon will know what type of color to use on your hair and how long to leave it on and it'll be considerably less damage then if you try to do it at home. For first time color, unless you get a hack stylist, you shouldn't see too much damage, especially with subtle highlights. If you were to dramatically bleach your whole head, you'd see more. When dying your hair, you tend to get some split ends. I'd suggest you get a trim, but one isn't required. You could always ask the stylist to remove the dead ends. This will clean up the hair without removing much (if any) of the length. Is it possible to get this done at the hair dressers?
1. Yes it would be possible to get that done. I reccommend taking that pictur when you go to get it done though, so that they understand.

2. Yes they can make it look natural.

3. No, you do not have to cut your hair to get highlights.

4. Of course it will damage your hair. No matter how many times you've done it, it will always be damaging. Of course, simple highlights aren't that extreme.
you can get highlights like that and u wont have to get ur hair cut if u dont want to. if ur just getting highlights a bit lighter they will probably just use colour not bleach. but if u do end up using bleach it will damage ur hair but if it is ur first time it wont be that bad. it will just be a but dryer and possibly a bi frizzier u will just have to do a conditioning treatment a few time untell u think that it is back to normal. but i wouldn't worry about it. and i would deffinatly invest in high end shampoo and conditioner anything else will change the colour of ur highlights over time. and get it for colour treated hair.
tell your stylist you simply want a few highlights that blend into your hair

tell her/him you dont want drastic ones just conservative ones

and your stylist will be more than happy to do your hair ( not being bleached) it may damage it a little but not overly drying it out..
