Professional Hair Dressers....?

Hello. I am 17 yrs old. I attend a Paul Mitchell Partner school in North Carolina.I am in core. I wont graduate til next year. ( I go in the evenings). Any who.. I am hoping to open my own salon sometime during the following 3 years. I am bored and just wanted to figure out expenses.I only want 2-3 other employees to work with me. I need a list of everything that is needed in a salon from chairs and dryers, flat irons and perm rods to bobby pins and clips...everything! I will look up prices myself. If I start saving for everything now, Ill be ahead of my self financially. I couldnt find a site that listed EVERYTHING needed in a salon..mainly just the equiptment..so maybe someone who owns a salon already could help me out. But anyways, thanks I hope to hear some good answers. God Bless.Professional Hair Dressers....?
My advice would be to work under someone else for a few years until you can build up a customer base. I didn't own my own shop for at least 10 years. Then I rented my other staions to three girls, that way I didn't have to supply their inventory or worry about taxes (only my own), We did each share perm rods towels, things like that. The secret is finding dependable people that are similar in their work ethics. We all get along great and have a happy fun work invirement.

Good luck to you.
