hi i have rosacea on my face and i have natural mousey blonde hair. i need a new colour to help take away the focus and redness of my face was thinking a auburn brown but dont want to make the mistake of choosing the wrong colour. when i go to salons and have visited a few they say that it's not that noticable and should stay with own colour, others say that no other colour would suit me. dont know what to do any advice and help please would be grateful thanksHelp please! unsympathetic hair dressers.?
We studied this years ago in Beauty school, and with my own experiece for 12 yrs in the industry, you want to take the focus off the problem with a subdued color..Nothing red, ash, or dark or too light..Go with a light, golden brown...That would be a 6g...It sounds like your natural color is a level 7 which is a dark blonde. Find a shade one shade darker than 7, which would be a 6g..You need some golden tones to balance..Dont go with burgandys, red browns, or ash. Something natural, but subdued. I would advise you to do a color test on some hair, in the back underneath your hair. Use a foil to cover it while processing then look at the color. after its dried..So important to do..The best bet would be spend the money, to have a professional do it, and maybe save the aggrevation of dissapointment afterwards. The colors overthe counter are very unpredictable...(by the way, im sympathetic, as I ve seen it all)Help please! unsympathetic hair dressers.?
if in the additional details you could add a picture of your facial structure and how bad your rosacea is than i would be able to tell you. but since you have none of that i will just do this:
Black : never color your hair black because it will gain ALL FOCUS on whatever facial mistakes you have
Light Blonde / Bleach Blonde: Will also have the same effect at black
Red: would lighten some of the focus because the hair would take full BOOM control over the effect of your skin and people would notice the radiance of your hair first.
Brown: will two tone and just kind of blend in your skin with your face
honestly i would go with a red brown [maroco they call it here] or even bergandy, thats a very pretty color [kind of purpleish] would make people look at your hair instead of your face
=] hope i helped
Why would you want to have red hair? If you face is slightly red from the rosacea. Honestly you would need to stick with slightly cooler colors... Think of a color wheel what color compliments red? Green does. So I would say to stick with c color in the neutral family. Anything that is slightly red will enhance the red on your skin. Or you could go with a nice golden brown color.
I understand but, you may want to work on your confidence a bit.Dont get me wrong though, I might do the same in your shoes. At least they are being honest. Have you looked at some peoples hair? They need an honest hair dresser. GOOD LORD! Most companies have help lines, like Loreal for instance ,and you can probably go online. Try that.
How are they unsympathetic. They are giving you honest advise, as they see it. It is difficult to tell what color would suit you without seeing you.
i would try a medium brown.
you want to stay away from reds in your hair color
that will bring out the rosacea more.
you need to go with cool colors not warm :)
good luck
Try the auburn or light to medium brown hair.
