Question for hairstylist's /hair dressers ?

does it matter to which school you go ??

im thinking about going to Empire Beauty school here in Manhattan(NYC)

ive heard some good stuff and some bad stuff about it

my question is dos it matter to which school you go ?? i mean you learn exacly the same thing in everyschool ( or am i wrong??)

so is there a point in going to like vidal sasson (for example)

from what ive heard from some of the hairstylist's the best thing is ot take all the cutting and coloring classes

and become a good colorist cause thats where the money is in this industry Question for hairstylist's /hair dressers ?
It's true you get the basics in any school you go to. If money isn't a problem then I suggest going to Vidal. You have a better chance of job placement. You also get more ';extras';. I mean more intense training.

While there I heard some of the ';older'; students complain they were done with their hours but still had services to do and be able to take the state board exam.

I went to two different schools. The first one was a local school. I learned a lot there. I took a break. (for personal reasons) I then went to another school. This is a well know school. It cost a little more but I feel it was worth it. It was more of a structured learning environment.

However, I have friends graduate from both schools and found work right away. I hope this helps you.

Good luck!
