What do I tell my hair dresser?

I'm going to get a hair cut. My hair is medium length but the bottoms of my hair look thick and almost choppy. I want the bottoms to look thinner and kind of layered so it looks longer. I also want fuller bangs that blend in with the rest of my hair. I am not good with wording how I want my hair to look! Any suggestions or pictures?What do I tell my hair dresser?
